Meanwhile, the Sultan of Samandra, who has been frantically searching for a lost camel, finds his camel to be the Comfortable Camel. He sends off Tuzzle, a government official, to the Emerald City to get the camel back.
In another part of the World, Speedy (from Long Island, NY) is ready to go to Mars with his Uncle. However, his Uncle does not jump in there rocket fast enough and Speedy sails off alone. Speedy tries to return to pick up his uncle, but instead crashes into the earth and ends up in Subterranea. There he finds a golden statue that turns into a live princess and tries to find his way back up to the surface of the earth.
This book makes a great Oz adventure which revolves around the magic dates.
