Mombi, the old witch, now without her powers, has become the cook of the buttony nation of Kimbaloo. Then, one day, she is given a goose to roast. However, Mombi recognizes the goose as Pajuka, the old king's prime minister, whom she transformed into a goose. They decide to go and find the rightful king of Oz, Pastoria, Ozma's father, and see that he becomes the king, and Ozma steps down.
