Kabumpo in Oz |
|
It is Prince Pompadore's eighteenth birthday in
the kingdom of Pumperdink, and
the cook, Hashem, has prepared a special cake for
the occasion, the best that he ever made. However,
just before the event, the cake dissappears, and
then reappears. Everything proceeds normally, until
the cake is cut, when it explodes, revealing a scroll,
a golden mirror, and a doorknob. The scroll warns
the king of Pumperdink that unless Pompadore
marries the Proper Fairy Princess, the kingdom
of Pumperdink will dissapear from Oz forever. The
king decides to marry the prince to Faleero, an
ugly fairy princess from the next forest. Kabumpo,
the Elegant Elephant, decides to save the Prince
from this horrible fate and they run away. They
decide to go to the Emerald City.
Meanwhile, the old Gnome King, Ruggedo, finds a box of Mixed Magic in a cave underneath the Palace. He accidentally spills a bottle of Instantaneous Expanding Extract on himself, and grows into a giant three-quarters of a mile high. Unfortunately for Ruggedo, he had previously tried a bit of Spike's Hair Strengthener, and now had iron spikes instread of hair. Due to this, the palace becomes impaled on his head, and the now scared Ruggedo runs for his life to Ev. Kabumpo and Prince Pompadore arrive, and go off in search of the palace with the aid of some mixed magic, Wag the overgrown rabbit, and Peg Amy, a wooden doll that is alive.
