A strong storm blows through Ragbad, taking with it
King Fumbo's head. Tatters, the prince of Ragbad, sets
off with Grampa, the old soldier of Ragbad, on a journey
to find the king's head, a fortune, and a princess.
On the way, they run into Bill, a live weathercock,
and into a band fo robbers from whom they must escape.
At the same time, Abrog, a prophet in Perhaps City, reads a prophecy that the princess of Perhaps City will marry a monster in four days. While the king of Perhaps City and his assistants are pondering over how to save the princess, she disappears. The king is certaing that she has been carried down the mountain on which Perhaps City is. The Forgetful Poet, Percy Vere, who never finishes his poems, decides to go down the mountain and try to find the princess. On his way down, he bumps into Dorothy, who is going to the Emerald City.
