The Ozure Isles and Sapphire City have long been
forgotten, but that is where the king of the
Munchkin Country lives. 25 years ago Mombi
put a shadow over this beautiful castle by
stealing the queen and placing a terrible
sea monster to guard it. Then one day Quiberon,
the sea monster guarding the Ozure Isles demanded
a mortal maiden to serve him. As the only mortal
maidens were in the Emerald City, the king and
his subjects did not know what to do.
Prince Philador was able to receive help from the
Great Mo-Gull, king of all the land and sea birds
because he had been so kind to the blue gulls
living on the island. He is carried to the
Good Witch of the North's Cabin, but unfortuantely
she is not there. Together with Herby, a medicine
man he discovers in the cabin, he sets
out on a journey to the Emerald City.
At the same time that the Prince arrived at the Good
Witch of the North, Akbad, the soothsayer on the
Ozure Islands, picked the Golden Pear, which was
only supposed to be picked by the Prince in a n
extreme emergency. He is given magical wings, and
with them flies to the Emerald City, and takes Trot
back to the monster.
