Jam, a boy in the United States, decides to build his very own Collapsible Kite. However, he make it so big that it carries him, two guinear pigs, and a rat named Percy away through the sky into the Land of Oz. There he lands in the Hidden Valley, a part of the Gilliken Counttry that is ruled by Terp, a cruel giant. Upon landing, Jam discovers that his pets can talk. He is found by some of the inhabitants of Hidden Valley, and told to escape, since Terp will enslave Jam. However, before Jam can escape, he is captured by Terp. Upon hearing that Jam is called Jam, Terp, fond of eating all kinds of jam, demands to know what kind of jam is Jam. Getting no answer, he shuts Jam in a room and promises to return in the morning and eat him. Can Jam escape? Or will he and his pets be eaten by Terp?
